The performance of these nibs is not impacted, as the difference is aesthetic only.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eKakimori dip nibs have become a favorite among fountain pen users because (1) the conical metal nibs hold a lot of ink in the grooves, requiring less frequent re-inking; and (2) they are very easy to clean, though if you use these pens with shimmer inks or very heavy sheeners you may want to clean the nib well with a toothbrush to ensure all residue is removed.
