The 2026 Limited Edition brings this philosophy to life through a luminous pearlescent dark blue barrel accented with lines of metallic gold paint, creating a design that feels both meaningful and visually unforgettable.

Pilot’s pioneering retractable fountain pen is a modern classic, and after all these years remains by far the most reliable option in the retractable fountain pen product category. The “Vanishing Point” features an excellent 18k gold nib that fully retracts into the pen body, protected by a trapdoor mechanism that also prevents the nib from drying out. The placement of the clip allows you to carry the pen in a shirt pocket in the nib-up position, preventing leaks and spills.

Each pen ships in a Pilot gift box, and includes an ink converter, a single cartridge, and a metal cartridge cover. The Golden Journey Limited Edition is currently available in medium only. Additional nibs are available for purchase separately, as is the range of bottled Pilot inks.
