Tono & Lims Fountain Pen Ink / TGS Exclusives

For the 12th Anniversary of The Gentleman Stationer (2014 seems like yesterday!), we wanted to formulate some special inks, and are happy to introduce our first two releases "Classic Burgundy" and "Black Shimmer". Classic Burgundy is formulated to match the background dark burgundy on the classic TGS website, while Black Shimmer was a playful attempt to combine the blog colors into an offbeat ink that is still highly usable for everyday writing. I (Joe) love red-black inks, and don't think there are enough of them on the market - We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed making them! 

Tono & Lims inks are the product of a collaboration between Japanese fountain pen enthusiasts and Lim’s Lab, a South Korean ink manufacturer. Known for their expansive lineup of colors that runs into the hundreds, Tono & Lims experiments with color, shading, shimmer, and a little bit of sheen. Inks come in 30ml bottles and are made in South Korea.

These two inks are shown swatched on a combination of Tomoe River 68g and MD Cotton Paper, two of our favorite writing papers.
